Trend alerts
Smart alerts notify you automatically when trends match your conditions. Instead of checking the trends page manually, define rules and EarlyForge emails you the moment a matching trend is detected.
How alerts work
EarlyForge continuously evaluates new and updated trends against your active alert rules. When a trend matches an alert's conditions, an email is sent to your account address within seconds of detection.
Creating an alert
Open the Alerts page
Navigate to Alerts in the sidebar and click New alert.
Set conditions
Define what triggers the alert. Conditions are combined with AND logic -- a trend must match every condition to qualify.
- Score threshold -- Minimum trend score to trigger (e.g., score ≥ 75). Higher thresholds reduce noise.
- Category -- One or more categories (e.g., Technology, AI). Only trends in these categories match.
- Keyword -- A text pattern the trend title must contain (e.g., "quantum computing", "GPT").
- Country -- One or more countries. Only trends from these countries match.
- Lifecycle -- One or more stages (e.g., only "emerging" or "trending"). Useful for catching trends early.
Name and save
Give the alert a descriptive name (e.g., "AI Breakthroughs -- High Score") and click Save. The alert becomes active immediately and notifications arrive by email.
Managing alerts
On the Alerts page, each alert card shows its name, a summary of its conditions, and its recent trigger count. You can:
- Edit -- Update conditions at any time. Changes take effect immediately.
- Snooze -- Temporarily silence an alert for a set period. The alert keeps its configuration and resumes automatically when the snooze window ends.
- Pause / Resume -- Disable an alert indefinitely without deleting it. Paused alerts do not evaluate or fire.
- Delete -- Permanently remove an alert and its trigger history.
- View history -- See a log of every time the alert fired, including the trend that triggered it and the timestamp.
Start with broad alerts (a keyword plus “All categories” and “All regions”) and watch what triggers them. Then refine by picking specific categories or a region to reduce noise.
Alerts by plan
Your plan sets how many alerts you can configure per month — every alert you configure then notifies you on each matching trend, with no cap on received notifications.
