Explore trends

The Trends page gives you a real-time view of what is gaining momentum worldwide, drawing on hundreds of sources across news, social media, academic papers, and public data in many languages and regions. This guide explains how to navigate, filter, and act on trends.

Open Trends from the sidebar to see the main feed. Each trend is shown as a card with:

  • Title -- The trend name, often a headline or topic phrase.
  • Score -- A number from 0 to 100 representing overall strength.
  • Lifecycle badge -- A colored indicator showing the trend's current stage:
    • Emerging -- Just detected, low volume, early signal.
    • Trending -- Gaining momentum, increasing sources and coverage.
    • Peaking -- At maximum intensity, highest attention.
    • Saturating -- Still active but growth has stalled.
    • Declining -- Losing momentum, coverage is dropping.
    • Archived -- No longer active; kept for historical reference.
  • Source count -- How many distinct sources are reporting on this trend.
  • Origin -- The country and language where the trend was first detected.

Pre-viral detection

EarlyForge is built to surface trends before they peak. By tracking velocity and early signals, it flags emerging and trending stories while they are still building -- giving you a head start to publish ahead of the wave rather than chasing it after saturation.

Filters

Use the filter bar at the top of the page to narrow results.

  • Region -- Focus on trends relevant to a specific country or region.
  • Category -- Filter by topic: Technology, AI, Science, Health, Business, Crypto, Sports, Entertainment, Politics, Environment, Culture, and more.
  • Language -- Filter by any of the 28 supported languages.
  • Sort -- Order by score (default), velocity, recency, or volume.

Filters combine with AND logic. Selecting "United States" + "Technology" shows only technology trends detected there.

Trend detail panel

Click any trend card to expand the detail panel. It includes:

  • Score evolution chart -- An interactive chart of how the trend score has changed over time, with fine-grained snapshots for active trends.
  • Scoring breakdown -- The five factors behind the total score:
    • Velocity -- How fast the trend is accelerating.
    • Diversity -- How many different source types are reporting it.
    • Recency -- How fresh the latest signals are.
    • Cohesion -- How consistent the narrative is across sources.
    • SEO potential -- Search volume and keyword opportunity.
  • Source list -- Every source contributing to the trend, with reliability scores. All sources are weighted equally.
  • Lifecycle timeline -- A visual of the trend's progression through its stages.

Live updates

The trends page refreshes in real time without a page reload. You see score changes, new sources, and lifecycle transitions as they happen.

Daily unlocks and gating

Trend access is the primary way plans differ. Each day you can fully unlock a set number of trends; trends beyond that quota stay visible in the list but are blurred with an upgrade prompt.

PlanTrends unlocked / day
Free20
Starter200
Pro500
ScaleUnlimited
EnterpriseUnlimited

The quota resets daily. Free also sees real-time detection limited to the top 20 trends.

Actions

Each trend card and detail panel provides action buttons:

  • Follow -- Add the trend to your Followed Trends list for ongoing monitoring.
  • Write article -- Jump straight into generation using this trend as a source. This pre-fills a brief with the trend's data.
  • Create alert -- Set up an alert based on this trend's category and keywords.

Filter by the Trending lifecycle stage to find trends about to peak. This is the best timing for publishing -- you catch the wave before saturation.
