Connect Medium (legacy)
Cross-publish to Medium with a pre-2025 integration token. New tokens are no longer issued by Medium.
Connect Medium (legacy)
Medium closed its API to new integrations on January 1, 2025. The connector only works if you already hold an integration token created before that date. New Medium accounts cannot obtain one — Medium's only supported path for them is the manual Import tool.
If you hold a legacy token
Locate your token
Your integration token was generated at medium.com → Settings → Security and apps → Integration tokens. If you saved it somewhere, that's the value to use — Medium no longer issues new ones.
Add the connection in EarlyForge
Go to Connectors → Medium → Add a site, paste the Integration Token, and click Connect site.
Choose the publish status
Draft (recommended — review on Medium before going public), Public, or Unlisted.
Reaching Medium-like audiences without a token
If you can't use Medium's API, Dev.to offers a similar cross-posting audience for technical content, and Zapier can bridge articles into any tool that still automates Medium.
