Connect Shopify
Publish EarlyForge articles to your Shopify Online Store blog with a custom app token.
Connect Shopify
Publish articles straight to your Shopify Online Store blog — great for content marketing that lives next to your products.
Prerequisites
- A Shopify store with the Online Store channel and at least one blog (Shopify creates a "News" blog by default)
Connect your store
Create a custom app
In your Shopify admin, go to Settings → Apps and sales channels → Develop apps and click Create an app. Name it EarlyForge.
If you don't see "Develop apps", click Allow custom app development first (store owner permission required).
Grant content permissions
In the app's Configuration → Admin API integration, enable the write_content and read_content scopes, save, then click Install app.
Copy the Admin API access token
On the API credentials tab, reveal and copy the Admin API access token (shpat_…) — Shopify shows it only once.
Find your Blog ID
Go to Online Store → Blog posts → Manage blogs and open your blog — the numeric ID at the end of the URL is your Blog ID.
Add the connection in EarlyForge
Go to Connectors → Shopify → Add a site, fill in the Shop domain (acme.myshopify.com), the Admin API access token and the Blog ID, then click Connect site.
Articles arrive hidden by default (visible only in your Shopify admin) — turn on Publish Immediately in the connection settings to go live directly. Tags and the article's lead image are carried over.
